Loretta B. Young, 60, of Sarasota, Florida, departed this life on Saturday, February 4, 2023. The Visitation will be held at Chandler’s Funeral Home, on Friday, February 17, 2023, from 6:00-8:00 PM. Funeral Services will take place at Jesus Christ Prayer Band Church of Deliverance & Salvation Inc., 2811 17th Street, Sarasota, on Saturday, February 18, 2023, at 11:00 AM. The interment will follow at Oaklands-Woodlawn Cemetery.
Loretta Belinda Young was born on March 24, 1962, in Bartow, Florida to Gracie Kindall and Joe Mac. She attended the local schools and went to Job Corps in Morganfield, Kentucky for bookkeeping and training. She was employed as a housekeeper. Loretta was a hardworking, God-fearing woman and a wonderful mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and friend to everyone she encountered and loved. No matter where she went her presence, laughter and beautiful smile always lit up a room. Loretta’s wise words of wisdom and knowledge that she left behind will never be forgotten.
She leaves to cherish her memories: her children: Cedric Claridy and Chiquita Martin; grandchildren: Jaheem Claridy, Ceniya Claridy and Cedric Claridy, Jr.; mother: Gracie Kindall; father: Joe Mac; stepfather: Jimmie Lee Pew;
sister: Connie Nix; brothers: Reginald Kindall and David Lesbitt; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
