Ms. Gwendolyn Thomas Adams

Gwendolyn Thomas Adams, 77, of Sarasota, Florida was born on August 8, 1945, in Bradenton, Florida to the late Amos and Veora Mae Thomas. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 20, 2023, from 6-8 PM. Homegoing Services will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2023, 11:00 AM, at Happy Gospel Church, 1915 53rd Ave E, Bradenton, FL. The interment will be held at Manasota Memorial Park.

Gwendolyn attended public schools in Manatee County. She was employed for Sarasota County School Transportation for 30 years until her retirement. Gwendolyn gave her life to the Lord as a young adult. She continued to live her life as an example for others until God called her home. Gwendolyn was a member of Kingdom Family Worship Center. She served the Lord faithfully in various capacities including Missionary,
Elder and Evangelist while traveling throughout the United States and Haiti spreading the Word of Salvation.

Gwendolyn Thomas Adams departed this life on Saturday, January 14, 2023.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Veronica Thomas and Carolyn Ross.

Gwendolyn leaves to cherish her memories: Three children: Antoinette Blakeney (Raymonte’), Arlette Bell and James L. Davis, Jr. (Julia); Grandchildren: Ariel McGirt (Quinton), Andia Blakeney, Kevin Davis, Raymonte’ Blakeney, Jr., Kristopher Waters, Ishmeel Davis, Michael Davis (Jana), Jamesha Davis, Jade Davis Hunter (Jeremy), Michael Davis (Katonia), Nykevia Blakeney, Lavontae Youmans; 25 Great Grandchildren; Siblings: Lenora Hart (Paul), Cassandra Knight (Willie), Delphine Leonard (Earl), Barney Thomas (Molly), Arrie L. Thomas (Joyce), Laverne Johnson, Stanley Thomas (Maria) and Lawanda Clayton; She also leaves a multitude of other family and friends.
