Annie Ruth Grice-Hutchins was born on January 30, 1933, in Sarasota, Florida, to the late Mr. and Mrs. Wilmer and Virginia Grice. She was educated in the public schools of Sarasota County.

Annie was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Mr. James Hutchins, and they enjoyed 14 years of marriage. She was a member of Greater Bethel Primitive Baptist Church of Riviera Beach, Florida, faithfully serving the Lord for over 60 years. She was a member of the choir and a loving and much-loved friend to many.

Annie devoted her time to her grandchildren, greatgrandchildren, and her church family. She enjoyed traveling experiencing the world and other cultures. Every room she entered illuminated with her presence, and there wasn’t a soul she couldn’t impart with her down-to-Earth personality and her loving kindness. She was a special and unique lady indeed, and all who met her quickly made themselves her family. She lived her life to the fullest. The classy and sassy Miss Annie Ruth….

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilmer and Virginia Grice; husband, James Hutchins; brother, Eddie Grice; sisters, Idella “Mae” Butler, Dorothy Morris, Carolyn Clayton, Bertha Richardson, and Juanita Bryant; son, Lawrence Robinson; and great-grandson, Juanzel Robinson, and a cousin, Diana Lynn Wilson, better known as “Candy.”

Annie leaves to cherish her memory: sisters, Dorothea Zeigler and Ethel Mayes; grandchildren, Carmen Siler, Darnell Robinson (Linda), Lovett Robinson, and Allesha Marshall; a loving goddaughter, Christian Harris; and a multitude of great- and great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews & cousins; devoted friends, Steven Morris, Christine Hall, Lois Salton, Edna Jackson, Brenda Byrd, and Mary Clay; and her Greater Bethel Primitive Baptist Church of Riviera Beach family, who will all miss her dearly.
