Alberta Solomon-Dunbar, 93, of Sarasota, Florida passed away peacefully at Tidewell Hospice on January28, 2023. Visitation will be held from 6-8 PM on Friday, February 3, 2023, at Chandler”s Funeral Home. Services will be held at 1PM on Saturday, February 4, 2023, at Bethel CME Church. Interment will follow at Palms Memorial. Funeral arrangements by Chandler’s Funeral Home.
She is predeceased by her parents; her brother, Earnest Solomon; two sisters, Lillie Mae Solomon-Jenkins and Mercie Lee Solomon-Howell; her husband, Philemon Dunbar, Sr; her son Jerry Oliver; her daughter, Stephanie Oliver’ and two grands, Donald Howard and Bernard (Cheeto) Taylor, Jr.
Left to cherish and celebrate her life and legacy is her sister, Teresa Solomon-Toombs; her sons, Curtis and Kenneth Oliver; her daughter, Susan Oliver; her adopted daughter, Vickie Dunbar and a host of other relatives and friends..

I will alway cherish our times together. When we lost Jerry in his tragic accident, I could not have gotten through that difficult time without your comfort, love and guidance.
To your surviving family and friends, I pray that each of you will find peace and comfort in knowing how much she was loved and that you are in the thoughts and prayers of so many people.
