Visitation for Mr. John (Buddie Roe) Taylor will be on Friday, July 21, 2023 from 6-8PM at Chandler’s Funeral Home, 1425 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Way. Sarasota, FL 34234. Home going services are on Saturday, July 22, 2023, 1:00PM at C.L. Chandler Memorial Chapel, 1425 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr Way, Sarasota, FL 34234.

John Taylor, Sr. was born on February 28,1948, in Flora, Mississippi to Earnest Taylor
and Essie Mae Taylor. He moved to Sarasota, Florida in 1972 and established a home in St. Augustine Quarters, where he become well known with the nickname “Buddy
Roe”.
John loved fishing and had several fishing spots he loved to go to whether it
was Lakewood Ranch, North Port or Myakka ; where the fish was biting Buddy Roe would be there. Cash 3 don’t start talking about that because Buddy wouldn’t go a
day without getting his numbers in and boy was he a lucky one.

Buddy touched the hearts of everyone old and young and he is going to truly be missed.

He departed this life on Sunday, July 9, 2023, in Sarasota, Florida.

He leaves to cherish his memories…

Daughters: Amanda R. Cox, Nicole L. Thomas, Valisha Stephens, and Deborah
Stephens;
Parents: Earnest Taylor and Essie Mae Taylor;
Sisters: Dorothy Nunn (Beauford Gray),Everlyn M. Taylor, Fannie H. Barnes
Melvis Taylor-Cumby and Earnestine Taylor;
Brother: MacArthur Taylor;
 And a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
