On this day, my beloved son, James Appollos Jackson, Jr., was born to us on December 31, 1999, to James and Susan Jackson. James was a loving person. He always had a smile on his face. He attended Rowlett Middle School and Southeast High School. He worked with his uncle, Corey Company at McCray Enterprises. He enjoyed life to the fullest. I always taught my son to play every day. I would tell him to always keep your appearances when you leave home, you represented mom. He had expensive taste in clothing and his cars. He loved to sing and dance, he loved his friends. He called his brothers, Antwan, Ramario, Michael, Daveoone, Tanion, Alex, and Quay. Everyone loved him, everywhere he went. He was a
people person.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Verta Jackson, Otis Jackson, Sr., and Essie Leach; uncles and aunt, Gary McGay, George Leach, Jr., and Patricia Johnson; and daughter Jahira Shardae Jackson.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his father, James Jackson; mother, Susan Jackson; brother, Namon Rice (Quanisha), (Fiance’) Shericka Adams; uncles and aunts, Carey, Pat McCray, Tito, Chris, Sharon, Ann, Davina, Kierra, Karen, Wesley Jackson, Vanessa, Nate Thomas, Otis, Alicia Jackson, Georgia Clayton, Gloria Wright, Debbie Robinson, Gloria Francis, John Oliver, Vernice Jackson, and OJetta Oliver; godsister, Shermia Dozier; godmother, Patricia Johnson; grandfather, Georga Leach; niece, Saynia Rice; nephew, Namon Rice; and a host of cousins; and best friends, Lil Chris, AJ, Snooty, Dee, DuVontae, and Kerby.
I am so sorry to here about the tragedy and will be praying you all in the days to come. Please don’t give up on the Lord and lean not to your own understanding, but trust in him in all your ways.
