Visitation for Harry Priester, 79 of Sarasota, FL passed away on May 19, 2023 will be held on Friday, May 26, 2023, 6:00 to 8:00PM at Chandler’s Funeral Home. Services will be held on Saturday, May 27, 2023 at 12:00 Noon at Light of the World International Church 3809 Chapel Dr. Sarasota, FL 34234.
A Time To Be Born: Harry S. Priester was born to Willie Dora and Randolph
Priester on February 16, 1944, in Varnville, South Carolina.
A Time for Education He attended South Carolina Public School Systems and was employed by Miller Brothers Septic Company, then worked 30 years for Sarasota County School Board, until retirement.
A Time To Love: Mr. Priester was married to the late Mrs. Earnestine
Priester for 51 years and out of this union seven children were born. He was a kindhearted, giving, and loving gentleman, who loved his family, wife, children, fifteen and twenty-four great
grandchildren with his entire heart, and he was loved back.
Mr. Priester was loved, respected and well known in the community.
A Time of Salvation: Mr. Priester became a believer in his older years, where
he accepted and gave his life to Christ as his Lord and
Savior. He learned the Bible and about God’s salvation.
A Time To Die: Mr. Priester transitioned peacefully from this life on May 19, 2023.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Earnestine Priester, parents, Willie Dora and
Randolph Priester, two daughters, Connie Munroe and Cheryl Priester.
two brothers, Woodrow Priester and Randolph Priester, Jr. and one sister, Charlotte Grant.
Cherished Memories: His children, Derrick Battie, Barbara, Harry, Jr.
(Shereka), Tonia and Nicole Priester; a special cousin,
Jeff Campbell; special brother and sister-in-law, Bruce,
and Jean Holmes, all of Sarasota, FL; and a host of
nieces, nephews, cousins, many friends, brothers, and
sisters-in-law.
Dad, Daddy, Granddad, Papa, Pops, Granddaddy, or Daddy-O
Whichever you were called, we will forever cherish the memories and time spent with you.
Love your kids, grands and great grands. You were a good father and we all love and miss you.
