Mr. Dardia Lee Burke, Sr

Visitation for Dardia (Stoney) Burke, Sr will be held on Friday, July 14, 2023 , 600-8:00PM at Chandler’s Funeral Home, 1425 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Way, Sarasota, FL 34234. Services will be on Saturday, July 15, 2023, 2:00PM at Shiloh Primitive Baptist Church, 3099 N. Osprey Avenue, Sarasota, FL 34234.

Dardia Lee Burke, affectionately known as “Stoney” to family and friends,
was born on January 11, 1944, in Choctaw, Alabama to Norman and Velener Burke.

Dardia came to Sarasota, Florida from Choctaw in 1961 and was employed with Waste Management for 42 years as a sanitation worker and driver, retiring 13 years ago.

He was a faithful member of Chosen Few Motorcycle Club of Sarasota, Florida
from 1978 to 2023. He was a member of True Worship Church of Sarasota, under the leadership of
Pastor Wesley Tunstall.

Stoney was a very loving and caring father and grandfather to his family.
He loved cooking for everyone and the outdoors. His smile and jokes will
be missed because he would make everyone laugh. God called Dardia
home, but he will be missed and loved by his family always.

Dardia Lee Burke departed this earthly life on July 2, 2023, Sarasota,
Florida.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Velener Burke,
daughter, Susie Ann Thomas, sons, Dardia Lee Burke and Keith Lamar
Cocroft and granddaughter, Lakisha Thomas.

He leaves to cherish his memories…
