Clifton Bernard Crenshaw, 65, of Sarasota, Florida, passed away on October 11, 2022. He was born on May 22, 1957, in Sarasota, Florida to Bishop Johnny Sholtz and the late Mary Francis Robinson. Visitation will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 PM, on Friday, October 21, 2022, at Chandler’s Funeral Home. Homegoing Services will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, October 22, at Light of the World International Church, 3809 Chapel Drive, Sarasota, FL. Interment will be private.
Clifton received his Bachelor’s Degree in Language Arts and Music from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University (FAMU).
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Francis Robinson and siblings, Gloria Hawthorne, Johnnie Sholtz and Marvin Sholtz.
He leaves to cherish his memories: His father and stepmother: Bishop Johnny Sholtz and Evangelist Beulah Mae Sholtz; Sisters: Regina Thomas, Josephine “Tina” Davis and Renee Jacobs; Brothers: Virgil Hawthorne, Lester Hawthorne, Gregory Crenshaw and Charles Robinson, Jr.; Stepsiblings: Brenda Wilson of Rochester, NY, Tony Wilson of Sebring, FL, Benny Sholtz and Lynette Sullivan, all of Lake Placid, FL; Niece: Chanequa Paschal; And a host of other relatives and friends.
