Marqueveus Curry

Marqueveus Christopher Jamal Curry “SPEEDO “, 23, of Sarasota, Florida, passed away on May 11, 2022. He was born on December 31, 1998, in Belle Glade, Florida, to Tina Curry and Germaine Perkins. He was a beautifully blessed baby boy from the beginning of creation for him.

The journey of life expected for him was not planned or dreamed by any parent that’s been able to give birth to a precious blessing in the form of a GOD sent child. Prior to birth on his journey to growth and development in preparation to come into this world, the signs were presented that this child would be extraordinary and a blessing to a lot of people but was not clear as to how or why. In November, 1998, it was crystal clear for Father GOD was calling him home at 11 months. How could I throw away a miracle. Marqueveus saved my life for after 2 deaths that day I made a covenant with GOD to exchange my life for his (Marqueveus) and he did.  Marqueveus was given 1 month to live and extraordinarily fought and gave me 22 years. I dedicated my life to GOD for him and promised if his life was spared I would give him back to the FATHER when it was time for him to go home again.

Marqueveus was a happy, fun, and joy filled child that would light up the darkest spaces in existence for any person, place, or thing he came into contact with. He gave hope, promise, reasons to live, strive, fight, and push through all things with little to no complaints. He proved to many when there is a no, GOD says yes. Marqueveus graduated high school and beat all odds by living a normal life.  He enjoyed road trips, hair washings, baths, and family day. Fulfilling his earthly journey with great success, he transitioned to the next chapter to assist with preparation for those to follow. I know GOD don’t and won’t make mistakes…. If HE’S allowing it then that means I’m able to handle it even when it feels like I can’t…. What don’t kill me makes me stronger….. Even soul snatching events like death of a mothers child…..HIS love and need of my boy is greater…..

Marqueveus was blessed to be a part of a four generation lineage of miracles, blessings, and gifted souls which started with Great- grandmother, Annie “SNOW” Curry Woods, accompanied and accomplished with Great-grandfather, Ivan ” Mickey” Woods. Thank you JESUS.

Marqueveus is loved and missed but never forgotten by his father Willie Octavian; mother, Tina Octavian: brothers: Quddus McDonald, Winston Morgan, William Octavian, Chanton Muldrow, and Anthony Jones Jr.; sisters: Mary Morgan, Tinia Morgan, Willicia Octavian, Charlene Shepherd, and Curtavia Mitchell; aunts: Denise Robins and Rakisha Ward; an uncle, Robert Hicks; cousin, Jeremiah Weeks; and nanny, Christina League whom all played a valuable and important role in his care of life, as well as a plethora of uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.

In memory and honor of SPEEDO please don’t grieve instead be over joyed, happy, freed, and celebrate his home going with FATHER GOD, LORD AND SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST, AND HOLY GHOST WITH THE SPIRIT OF THE POWER OF…IN JESUS NAME. AMEN.
