Johnny Lee Quinn, 54, of Sarasota, FL, passed away on June 29, 2022. Johnny, affectionately known as “Sleepy”, was born on December 19, 1967, to the late Cornell Quinn and Kay Francis Morris, in Sarasota, FL. He attended the public schools in Sarasota County.
He spent most of his life in Sarasota, but he would occasionally go and visit his relatives in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. He was a very quiet individual and was loved by everyone. He was a construction laborer in his employing years. He loved to get around in the community riding his bicycle. He loved music, especially island music. He also enjoyed “old school” music. His favorite artist was Jam Pony Express.
He was predeceased by his parents, Cornell Quinn and Kay Francis Morris; and a sister, Shawn Quinn. Left to cherish the memories of Johnny Lee Quinn are his seven children; two brothers: Cornell Quinn II, and Ronald Quinn; and his fiance’, Starlette Rowe.
Visitation will be on Friday, July 15, 2022, 6-8 p.m., at Chandler’s Funeral Home, 1425 Dr. Martin L. King, Jr. Way, Sarasota, FL. Chandler’s Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
