Visitation for Apostle Wiggs will be held on Friday, May 5, 2023 from 5:00-7:00PM at Chandler’s Funeral Home. Homegoing services will be held on Sunday, May 7, 2023, 10:00 AM at C. L. Chandler Memorial Chapel 1425 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Way, Sarasota, FL. Interment will follow immediately after service at Oaklands-Woodlawn Cemetery, 1037 Gillespie Ave., Sarasota, FL

Apostle Joe L. Wiggs was born on August 30, 1940, in Swainsboro, Georgia to the late Charles and Adel Wiggins He later moved to Palatka, Florida, where he grew up.
At the age of 21, he received the Holy Ghost and water baptism in the name of Jesus Christ, under Pop Crosby. Five years later he journeyed out to evangelizing the world with the gospel and later settled in Sarasota, Florida.

Apostle Wiggs worked with Apostle Williams at The Glory Community Church. He married Eva Ward Wiggs an they founded and pastored. The People’s Church of Deliverance in 1987. His life has affected many people in the community.
Apostle Joe L. Wiggs transitioned from this earthly life to eternal rest with the Lord on Monday, May 1, 2023.

* Sons: Alonzo Wiggs, James L. Wiggs (Latoya), Sherman Wiggs (Tierra), and Henry Carter (Robin)
* Daughters: Josephine Gilyard (Jethro) and Joyce Newsome (Ricky);
* Brother: Clifford Wiggs;
* Sisters: Willmener Wiggs, Christine Bunch (Johnny) and Loretha Miller(Anthony)
* A host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews,
other relatives and friends
